Omaha Reporter Fired for Supporting Candidate

Can reporters be friends and supporters of political candidates? The only reason this lady was fired was because of her picture that was posted all over when this story was mentioned. Why was her picture used. Hmmm.....maybe because she is attractive? I honestly think anyone should be able to support a candidate. It should be up to the viewer to then determine if they think the reporter can still be objective.
