Sounds logical.

That's funny, I posted the same story on my blog 20 minutes after yours. Great minds think alike.

The state paying for cars to bribe kids to go to school doesn't seem like that great of an idea. I think the actual solution is more privitization. Besides there is something wrong with the idea that we have to get teenagers motivated to get a degree when its clear that any kind of long term financial success will require a diploma.

If we are at a point where bribing children with cars is the only way to get them to go to class maybe we should just remove mandatory education for all students. Once students realize that its no longer a requirment to get a degree the value of a high school diploma will no doubt increase for most students. That wil have a positive effect on attendance.

Any way shape or form - bribing kids to go to school is ridiculous. This article said the truck was donated, which is a lot better than the state funding it. If the state was paying for thse things (which I know they are becuase my school gives away pizza parties and such)then it is off the charts nuts.
