People should be free to choose what is best for themselves as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others to do the same. I created this blog to discuss issues I have with big government, liberal media, and to talk about my support for capitalism and the Iraq War.

From the article:
"Students from her first class wrote: "She's a rebel but we love her that way." A picture shows a wastebasket stuffed with district memos and teachers' guides, a nod to Gilbert's dislike of bureaucracy and anything that gets in the way of teaching."
She must not realize that much of what burreacrats mandate is derived from expert advice. This probably makes her a bad teacher.
I wonder how full her wastebasket was before your boy's No Child Left Behind program got started.
You realize that none of us are for NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND. Though i do not want to speak for steve , but I am against it becuase I do not want the federal government involved in local education. Now I am supportive of some of the ideas in No Child LEft Behind. I would just be more supportive of it if it came from the local level. Having a national education plan makes no sense to me.
