People should be free to choose what is best for themselves as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others to do the same. I created this blog to discuss issues I have with big government, liberal media, and to talk about my support for capitalism and the Iraq War.

Wow the readers of MSNBC are ignorant of the most basic economics. I wonder who their demographic is.
That is so ignorant of you to say the readers of MSNBC are ignorant. You just do not fully understand yourself how economics truly works.
So now that we've seen very clearly what MSNBC readers believe, does this support my argument that the news reports the way it does in order to appease their target audience and thereby improve sales, rather than due to an underlying liberal bias?
Colleges teach future journalists and broadcasters to talk about their material from a liberal view. They are not taught to be objecive reporters anymore. They are taught to advocates of social justice and to promote social awareness and bring about change. THese people are on a mission to show people their view of the world in order to "help" all cultures. Hence the reason most news organziations (tv, radio, newspaper) lean to the left. Also shows why FoxNews is so popular - because while the rest of the country is fighting over a particular audience, Fox News has no competition.
Therefore it is not so much trying to appease an audience - because if that were the case CNN would switch agendas and go after that huge market Fox has and create competetion. They dont want to do that - the managing editor of CNN wants to promote the values he believes in and hires those who support his view. If it was all about money more stations would lean to the right.
