People should be free to choose what is best for themselves as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others to do the same. I created this blog to discuss issues I have with big government, liberal media, and to talk about my support for capitalism and the Iraq War.

Not being sarcastic here, but couldn't the Star Tribune be considered main stream media? Or does MSM typically refer to CNN, MSN, Yahoo, and more nationally oriented news.
Mainstream equals national - or news the majority of people know about.
Well, I guess after some further investigation, you could say that this is the MSM reporting this story.
It's written by a reporter, Leila Fadel from the McClatchy News Service. According to McClatchy's website, www.mcclatchy.com, they are the "third-largest newspaper company in the United States" covering some 31 big markets from coast to coast (although Minneapolis-St. Paul is not one that is listed). I would say that could make them MSM right?
That should be 31 daily papers and 47 non-daily papers
