Wait Just A Minute

I was told this Hurrican season was gonna be crazy thanks to Global Warming. This makes me wanna question science, but I know science = truth so I will find another explanation.
Update-
Naming Storms in big business. Hmmmmmmm

The article only points out that the last few years have had inaccurate predictions, and the scientist defend themselves by saying that their last 2 years of predictions were off, but their track record overall is very accurate. If it's true that they're usually accurate, but increasingly inaccurate as global warming progresses, then we can conclude that Global Warming disrupts normal weather patterns and has a chaotic effect on the climate. So yeah, that's why it's a problem.

Nice jump in logic. But you know what disrupts weather patterns? Weather

Right, meteorologists can accurately calculate the near infinite variables that results in hurricanes many months ahead of time but the additional of a more less linear effect that has been extensively studied throws off their calculations.

*rolls eyes*

Sure, whatever you say.

Yes, correct. Are you familiar with chaos theory? Small, understandable changes in start conditions lead, in a sufficiently complex system, to huge, unpredictable changes in outcome? Watch Jurassic Park again please.

Anyway, just to remind you of MY position VS. the idiot ecologist viewpoint (which you should be able to find in my older posts): I don't know whetehr anyone (and certainly not the people cited in this article) has good enough models to accurately predict the effects of global warming, but whateer happens it will definitely change the standard weather patterns that have existed throughout the last hundreds or thousands of years in which we've built up civilization, and this is going to hurt a lot of people and cause a lot of death (primarily from starvation in some parts of the world, where aggriculture is disrupted) and a LOT of economic upheaval (for the US).

From what I can tell the idiot ecologists are making similar claims to you.

Please distinguish yourself.

Please quote the claims they are making that you think are similar to mine. My read of the article is they were mostly making specific claims about specific events, and I'm just saying that things are going to change in a chaotic fashion, and it's going to be bad.
