Schools Thinking Outside The Box To Help Students

This program is offering kids money but not in the sense of brand new cars, or a thousand dollars. Instead they let students get stuff from the school store, which they can then show others they are succeeding. I like it.

My elementary school did something like this. Also my middle school let you fill out a raffle ticket every time you read a book of at least 100 pages- you just had to write a 2-paragraph report on the book on the card to prove you'd read it. Those programs were nice for me since I was getting A's and finishing a book every few days anyway, but I'm not sure it enticed anyone who wasn't already doing the work. But, it's a good idea, I'd like to see the numbers to see if it helps any.
