Check Out The Top Story On MSNBC
Distancing Obama from the IL Governor. If this was a republican the stories would be the exact opposite. Amazing how much of a free ride this guy gets. I thought now that he was elected the press would actually do their job and look into things now. Guess not. Journalism is still dead.

The exact opposite because a republican wouldn't be smart enough to distance himself from Blagojevich like Obama did?
"The two men have not talked for more than a year, colleagues said, save for a requisite handshake at a funeral or public event."
They haven't talked for over a year. The whole article talks about how they really never got along, even when Blagojevich wasn't under investigation. Seems like the author did a good job of digging to me.
Move along folks, there's nothing to see here.
'Move along folks, there's nothing to see here.'
Is what the MSM wants you to say about this connection.
I will state for the record that I doubt very seriously Obama was involved in this.
It useful to compare the media's actions when 'investigating' Palin and the link between Obama and Blagojevich.
While it can easily be said that most of the Palin 'scandals' were as you say worthy of 'Move along folks, nothing to see here', it did not stop the MSM from committing a great deal of resources to 'investigate'. Furthermore, the MSM did not frame it as a non-scandal despite the fact that it was.
For Christmas all I'm asking for is parity in MSM coverage.
You're comparing apples and oranges.
The reason Palin got so much media scrutiny is because she was an unknown outside of Alaska all of a sudden thrust into the spotlight when she was asked to be McCain's VP nominee. Obama is known.
If there was a connection to Blago, the republicans (or whatever organizations the swiftboat veterans are organized under) would have come out with some ads linking Obama and Blago during the run-up to the election. Didn't happen.
If there is a connection between Blago and Obama, I'm sure some blogger will find it. I'll wait...

Hmm... not sure why it posted twice.
I for one will say I do not know if Obama is connected to any of this. The thing is the media does not know either. There is no way they could have done a solid job of investigating by now. Instead immediatly afterwards they make claims that Obama will not be affected by this or Obama has not been friends with guy for a while. Now if the reporters took a hard look at this for a while and came to that conclusion then fine. But the day after this story broke Chuck Todd (politial correspondant for NBC) was asked if this story could hurt Obama. Without any in depht knowledge he said "Absolutely not." How the hell does he know that? If that was asked about a Republcian his answer would have been - We will see. Which would have been a good answer. Instead he was out there spinning for to protect this guy. Is it so hard to ask for equal treament in journalism.
"There is no way they could have done a solid job of investigating by now." OK, so if there were no stories about Obama and Blago, you would have come on here harping about where all the stories are.
Obama will not be affected by this because he has been a candidate for president for what, 2 years? and probably knew in his head long before that that he would run. Thus, he knew that people would dig for skeletons, hence why he distanced himself from Blago years ago.
"Now if the reporters took a hard look at this for a while and came to that conclusion then fine." Like maybe two years worth of hard looking?
"How the hell does he know that?" Because it's his job to know that?
"If that was asked about a Republcian his answer would have been - We will see." You may actually be right with this one, I'll give it to you. But that also could just be because Republicans have been hammered because of Bush.
"Is it so hard to ask for equal treament in journalism." Nope it's not. Is it so hard to quit with conspiracy theories?
