France tells Apple Inc whats up

How does the government get to tell a private business how to design their product? Why do they not just let the free market work and if there is a demand for the governments product then another business might c0me along and make it.
Thanks big goverment - your the best!

Are you also against the FDA, or do you only feel that electronics makers should be shielded from federal regulation?

Actually, I am against the FDA - but I think this is different. I do not believe the FDA tells a company how to make their product. They determine if a product is "safe" or ready for the market- but they do not tell a company to make sure their product is compatible with others.
It would be like the FDA telling Jiffy to make sure their peanut butter tastes like Peter Pan's. Give me a break
