No Knock

http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/06/15/

The whole no knock warrent scares me a little bit. I believe this could lead to more injuries for the cops and the people in the home.

Do not get me wrong - I understand that it could be beneficial to come in unannounced.
But if I have a gun purchased legally, and people come into my house unnanounced, and I grab my gun and shoot someone - I better not be charged with murder or attempted murder.

The Corey Maye case keeps going through my mind when I read about this ruling.

I always find it funny that 'libertarians' can get so completely outraged over something like telling a school that it can't discriminate among it's students based on race, but are only slightly worried about a ruling that the police can kick down your door at any time without announcing themselves. Which do you honestly feel is a bigger threat to your civil liberties? Unless you can make a really convincing case that policemen kicking down oyur door unnanounced isn't such a big deal, you're going to have to accept the fact that in reality you just react in accordance to right-wing rhetoric, regardless of how those political games interact with your stated 'philosophical' stances on these issues.

I believe a Private school can discrimate base on race. What do I care. If they want to be known at the school who only takes a certain race, or religion, or income - then that is there choice.

You've missed my point. My point is you're more outraged about the government telling the school who to admit than you are about the government sending men with guns to literally kick in your door without announcing themselves.
