People should be free to choose what is best for themselves as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others to do the same. I created this blog to discuss issues I have with big government, liberal media, and to talk about my support for capitalism and the Iraq War.

I pretty sure that the producers of the movie Crash comissioned this survey.
That is why this survey is so true.
That movie spoke the truth.
TO POWER?!?!?!?!?!?
Yeah, when I was looking for an apartment in New Haven, the landlords for several places warned me I would be in a 'mixed neighborhood' and asked if I was ok with that. I basically said 'yeah screw you, I'm not racist, what's you deal' and took the place
Then Ana's bike was stolen our first night there.
So- I am confused - was the landlord racist or letting you know the neighborhood is not safe?
Yeah, I'm confused about that too. That's kinda the contrast I was trying to draw.
I tell you who was predjudice: Darwin. He just assumed that Darwin was racist.
CRASH WAS RIGHT WE ARE STEALTHY BIGOTS AFTER ALL. OH GOD PAUL HAGGIS IS SO PERCEPTIVE.
That first sentence make no sense. Let me say this again.
Darwin just assumed the landlord assumed the Darwin was racist. Darwin never considered the possiblity that the landlord could be just given infomration independent of race.
My bad on the previous post.
My immediate thought was this guy is just giving out information one might want to know before moving in. I would have thanked they guy for telling me.
I would have been totally cool if the guy had said 'THIS IS A BAD NEIGHBORHOOD KEEP YOUR BIKE INSIDE' but he actually said it was very safe when I asked if that's what he meant with the comment.
Is it me or have you gone full circle with this landlord character.
Diatribe, it there is one thing i have learned arguing with Darwin its that he never actually makes a point. That way he can shit when ever needed to be 'right'.
shit = shift.
That comes in handy for him. Except that he continues to lose credibility
Just how brainwashed are you guys by mainstream culture? You really think that willfull ignorance and oversimplification is the same thing as integrity, and choosing your position before getting information then sticking to it doggedly is the same thing as credibility? This is a complex situation that challenged lot of the ways I think about this stuff and which I had never encountered before, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It would be great if you guys could offer your opinions and give me some perspective, but I guess it's more important to make 'flip-flopper' jokes like your right-wing rhetorical role models.
Defensive much?
As I believe I've said before, it's a feature of our culture which annoys me a fair amount.
So are you questioning if your liberal white guilt upbringing made you see your landlord in a certain light - but now that your outside the situation and thinking about it - he might not have been racist? Or are you thinking you were the racist in the situation. Hard to keep up with what your saying?
I dont understand the mainstream brainwashing thing as well.
