People should be free to choose what is best for themselves as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others to do the same. I created this blog to discuss issues I have with big government, liberal media, and to talk about my support for capitalism and the Iraq War.

Hmmm... that's just a tad extreme. This man is giving liberals a bad name (cue snide comment from Sophist or Diatribe).
I don't know, if he really believes the war should end, and he thinks he has teh power to help bring this about by making a movie, why shouldn't he do so? You can argue with him about the war, but given his beliefs this seems like a pretty good thing to do.
I do like his point that all the news we hear from the region is sanitized- this is like the old Vietnam films, where filmakers tried to show you all the fucked up shit that really goes on on the ground in a war. I really think that we're way way too cavalier when we talk about invading/occupying countries.
My issue isn't people making anti war movies. My frustration is that Hollywood does not make movies that show positives about the war - which far outweigh the negatives. There are 10,000 times more heroes in Iraq than there are rapists. Look at all the movies and documentaries that have come out about Iraq. How many have been positive? None. These movies/documentaries have not even made any money, but they keep making them. There is something odd about that. Still I am okay with Hollywood making these movies - but when you come out and say this is the "Truth" about what is happening in Iraq is truly hogwash and very disrespectful to all the men and women who are giving their lives on a daily basis.
