Paying Students to get Tuturing

Not sure how I feel about that one. I want to say it sends the wrong message.

The No Child Left Behind program really seems to have screwed us up in a bunch of ways, by giving educators extremely dire economic incentives to produce high standardized test scores rather than thoughtful, well-rounded graduates. I assume this is anotehr symptom- an attempt to raise test scores enough to avoid funding cuts, by any means neccessary.
