We Must Respect Other Cultures

Stoning people to death is just what Iran does. Let it be - let it be.

God, has anyone at all reputable ever argued that this type of stuff is OK any time in the last 40 years? If so, please link their statement and I'll join you in deriding them. Otherwise, enjoy shouting into the wind.

Of course any politician if blatantly asked do you think this stoning is Okay would say absolutely not. But if anyone asks general questions about an oppresive regime you hear a lot of multicultural arguments come out of their mouth.
But I guess the main argument I am trying to make is that nobody on the left ever mentions these issues. They never bring them up to talk about horrible things going on in other countries - because then they might be asked - what do you want to do about it - and they would really have no answer for it. It is so much easier to ridicule our President and create fear about the economy being bad as opposed to mentioning how horrible it is to live in some of these other countries where brutality on thier own citizens is common. The USA is the greatest country in the world but you would not no it if you just watched and listened to the left media. YOu would think the USA is currently the worst hate mongoring, imperialistic, lying, anti poor, anti anything not white country in the world. It is frustrating.

PS I will shout to the wind all day if something bothers me.

Wait a minute! Are you saying that the US is not all those things? Man, have you been watching and or reading the news lately. You are so ignorant. America is not great. Everybody knows that.

Darwin,

On the whole is US or Iran culture superior?

US culture, for sure. I don't think you'd find anyone serious saying anything else, unless they offered a bunch of qualifications that they're talking about 'culture' as the friendlier parts of religion, storytelling, clothes, music, dance - ie, popular culture- and not talking about things like this. But since you ignore nuance, I can see hwo you might willfully misinterpret those people.

PS I don't think that we should be required to list off the crimes of every other evil country in the history of the world before we criticize a particular piece of US foreign policy. Personally I trust my audience to understand that context when I write something, although sophist does force me to repeat it every 2nd or 3rd post.

Yeah but do I willfully ignore nuance? Or do you willfully equivocate using it?
