Did IL Governor Do Anything Wrong

I was asking this question posed by the NYT on day one. I believe it is a fair question. What i do wonder is if they would write this story if it was a Republican Governor in trouble? I question their motives for writing it - but I believe it is a fair question to pose.

More MSN Iraq Bias

THE TOP STORY with photo on MSNBC is about Arabs gathering and praising they guy who threw a shoe at President Bush. What a non story. They do not even tell you how many people were at this rally (instead they say thousands - which they are implying lots). The real total of the crowd was estimated at 2,000 people. That is nothing. No big stories on Iraq casualties being at an all time low. No big stories on troop deaths being at an all time low (2 this month by the way- 2!). Nope we need to show how some people gathered to praise the reporter. A reporter (who is not an Iraqi) from Cairo Egypt who has been calling Bush a dog for years. What President Bush has been able to do with that country is nothing short of amazing and instead of giving this guy any credit they use this shoe incident as example of how Iraq is a mess. It is just dispicable how media reports "news." Fight the good fight media. Keep up the great work!

Check Out The Top Story On MSNBC

Distancing Obama from the IL Governor. If this was a republican the stories would be the exact opposite. Amazing how much of a free ride this guy gets. I thought now that he was elected the press would actually do their job and look into things now. Guess not. Journalism is still dead.

Enjoy Jail

My Governor is corrupt? I refuse to believe. What is even more funny is the fact that this morning I was reading a local newspaper and it had an article about our governor. It mentioned how the governor said he always feel like light is shining down on him. Wonder if that holds true today.

I NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER

..want to hear again how the oil companies are conspiring to rip off the people with high gas prices. If these prices do not fully display how supply and demand works I do not know what ever will. The first person who mentions after gas prices go back up that oil companies are evil and trying to rip us off needs to be taken out back and shot.

Romney Says "Big Three" Need To Start Over

Romeny against the bailout is a huge statement coming from a guy who is all about the automobile. He mentions two things the big three have to do and of course the first one is to restructure their contracts.

Monday, November 17, 2008

Bail Out The Automotive Industry

We must be careful when we talk about bailing out the automotive industry. For one - we are only talking about bailing out the Big 3 (GM, Ford, Chrystler). Interesting enough Toyota and Honda who have plants right in the good old USA are not having financial difficulty. Why on earth could this be? Average hourly rate for someone working at Ford is $73, while Toyota is $48. What is the difference between those two when both are American workers? You guessed it UNIONS! Unions that restrict change and inhibit growth- meanwhile their salaries keep going up. So how is giving $25 billion to the big 3 going to change anything? All it will do is delay the inevitable. These big 3 need to fall on their face, start over, and create a new business model that is more efficient. Take a cue from Toyota and Honda. There is a reason why there businesses are making money and have the best sold cars on the road.

Govt Changes Mind of How To Bailout Banks

Doesn't the fact that the government changes their mind on how to deal best with this financial situation show that they are not sure on what will work best. Basically they are making their best guess and hoping for the best. More proof in my book that not doing anything might be better than guessing and wasting the money away.

It Has Been A While

Sorry for the lack of updates. But I am back on it.
First off let me say I am very excited and proud of my country for electing our first black president. I do worry about many of choices and decisions he will be making. First one being what to do about Guantanamo detainees. Bringing them back to the US for trials makes little to no sense for me.

So I have talked a lot about how gas prices have been falling and MSM refuses to talk about it. Well today they finally took a crack at it. But instead of mentioning how this is helping families budgets - they go on this tangent instead. MSM looking out for the working man.

Still attacking Palin for firing somebody. Nothing on Obama and working with a domestic terrorist. I mean MSM is not even asking him the quesiton.

DC School Chancellor Getting More Love

I mentioned this women before and talked about my excitement level for what she is trying to do. Seems like more media outlets are picking up on it.

Nothing Like Making People Feel Comfortable By Separating Them

Heart is in the right place I guess? But creating a high school for gay students seems like the wrong way to end bullying. So now a gay student who does not go to that school will be walking down the hallway and be mocked by another kid saying - "hey why don't you leave this school and go to the other school with all those fags?" Just does not seem like the right way to handle this.

MSM Refuses To Let Up On Palin

Here we are now a couple weeks past the date Palin was picked as VP and everyday since there has been a TOP STORY on MSM newscasts and websites about Palin. Oh, and by the way they are all about something bad they think she has done. These are two just from today. Is MSM scared or what?
Updated! Even more today. Top story again!
Update 2. MSN Headline - The Palin Bounce Fades. So after two weeks of constant attacks the balloon is deflating a little. MSN must feel proud. Good work guys!
Another Update! This is starting to get freaking NUTS. Maybe if this was a story tucked away somewhere, but it is on the top of the page. WOW

A School Chief That Has My Support

Being the top-dog in the worst performing school district cannot be easy. Luckily DC also now has one of the biggest school choice programs as well. How can teachers complain about her changes when what they have been doing is worse than any where else in the country. You would think that teachers want to see thier kids succeed and would be up for trying anything new.

Because it is not a top story everywhere I thought I would let all my readers (5 of you or so) know that the stock market went up today over 3oo points and gas is down under $120 a barrel. Now ask yourself where that story would be if it was the opposite. Stocks down over 300 and oil way up. Still think there is no liberal bias?

Why Gas Prices Rise?

Well the biggest reason is the demand of countries such as China and India. China for instance is adding about 20,000 cars to the road per day. Yeah thats about 9 million a year. Turns out that is a lot of needed oil. The supply is not changing and more people want it. Unfortunately this never gets talked about. Instead it is Bush's fault and that is really getting old.

California Cars Must Have Global Warming Scores Posted on New Cars

No way in hell should this be the a law. If a business wanted to do this because they thought it might help sell a car - I would be cool with it. But to mandate that all car retailers put this sticker on is compete crap. When is the era of Big Government going to end? There has to be a snap back eventually right? I assume after a few years of President Obama we might start going the other way.

More Evidence Chicago Does Not Understand the Economy

Just keep raising taxes to pay for all the budget problems. That will fix everything you morons. We have the highest taxes in the country on so many different things it is ridiculous. Yet we cannot fund public education nor public transportation properly. As anyone ever heard of making budget cuts. Here are some examples - less workers, lower salary, do not hire union workers to build something. If anyone did a complete look at how our city is run monetarily I can guarantee it would us cry.

MSM Upset with Supreme Court Gun Ruling

Parents Who Home School Need Credentials

I was watching the news today and some blow hard was talking about parents who home school their kids need to be certified in order to do so. California is talking about this now. Basically he wanted to make sure these parents are teaching their sons and daughters what he (government) wants them to know because parents could be teaching their kids any old thing and that is unfair to the kids. He used the 14th amendment to support his argument saying that the kids should have a choice to what they are taught. Is there anything the government does not want to control. Just another example of government thinking they know better than parents. Is there anything government will not try and take control over?

We Are in A Recession Damnit

Keep trying to tell America that MSM. We understand you are trying to get Obama elected. But what is your explanation for retail sales jumping up by the largest amount in 6 months? I thought people were going to save their rebate checks because we are all feeling the pinch of the economy. What is also interesting is people had to drive to those retail places and with high gas prices you would think they would stay home. WEIRD!

Cops In Philidelphia Fired

I must be dumb because I do not understand why these guys got fired. Oh wait yeah i do! A few of them were brand new to the force - so I can see why they got the boot (probably not tenured yet). I guess those new guys are being used as scapegoats, and to show that Phili is sensitive to the black man - heads had to roll. Each one of these guys who were beat were running from the Cops after the Cops tried to arrest them for MURDER. All by the way have been charged with murder- so there is strong evidence of their guilt. It was not like this was some random black people they pulled over for fun to beat the crap out of. Also, as you see in the video there were 14 or so cops on the scene. This was not just a random pullover. The cops had to call a lot of people over to catch these guys. Sorry to the Cops who lost their job from protecting the citizens of Phili from those who commit murder.

Racial Diversity in Sports Confuses Me

When they talk about Baseball they mention all the time that the number of African American players is dropping. 20th Chicago Public School Student Killed This Year

This is getting out of control. This number just reflects those that have been killed. Numerous others have been shot. Of course community leaders and politicians are crying out for stricter gun laws. The problem with that is these guns are not purchased legally. Kids are getting them off the street. So my solution = Encourage Fighting. Whether it is boxing or street fighting. We need some sanctioned ass whipping. Remember when problems with kids were solved by getting into a fight after school. Whatever happend to that? Now it has become more cool to get a gun and destroy lives. With a fight you both live to see another day. Any other suggestions?

The only other month that was lower was back in 2004 at 20. WOW! Don't worry though I have read plenty of stories about how this was the deadliest year for our troops. Thanks MSM.
